TC Swing

Yes, Swing Dance is rooted in American history, but it remains a great way to interact socially. Providing classes and hosting socials, TC Swing gets people moving to traditional big band and swing music - in their studio and in locales like the Minnesota State Fair.

Terry and Cindy Gardner have been supporters of Beasley’s Big Band through the years, and Court’s In Session has also played for them. Courtney loves the fact TC Swing hosts live dance music once a month, supporting local musicians and dancers. “Besides,” says Courtney, “they are soooo much fun to be around. When I'm there to sing and am asked to dance, my reply is, ‘I can sing it but I can’t swing it.’ If I ever opt to learn to dance - I will go to them.”

Terry and Cindy Gardner offer instruction in Swing Dance, Lindy Hop, Aerials and more. But the highlight of every month is the Live-band dances on First Saturdays; the moment when swing takes the floor in its best light. Courtney Burton and Court’s In Session love headlining this well-known and well-loved local event.
