Court's in Session Live from Twin Cities Jazz Festival 2024 | Crazy He Calls Me

One of the band's favorite ballads, "Crazy He Calls Me" is a beautiful 1949 jazz standard created by composer Carl Sigman and lyricist Bob Russell. The song first came to life through Billie Holiday's original recording and went on to be performed by many great artists, including Aretha Franklin, Dinah Washington, and Natalie Cole.

The song took an interesting turn when Nat King Cole and Tony Bennett made popular a version that changed the words to "Crazy She Calls Me," showing how the song could touch hearts from either perspective.

In our rendition, Rich Goldman's saxophone brings fresh emotion to this classic tune.
