Court’s in Session Jazz Band

I am the creative director/founder/vocalist of a Jazz combo named “Court’s In Session.” We are well-seasoned musicians who operate as business professionals who also happen to be artists. Our music focuses on the American Songbook/Jazz standards. Court’s In Session has been performing in the Twin Cities area for over ten years.

We perform in several configurations, from solo piano to 5 pieces being our preferred option.

Our mission is to keep this uniquely American art form alive and relevant by enhancing private and public events, including galas, charity events, conventions, and special occasions thru the joy music creates.

My earliest memory of music was from the Lawrence Welk Show. And, can you believe that my kindergarten teacher was also a performer with the Chicago Opera - a link that further solidified by life-long love of music.

Invited by a co-worker at her “day job” to audition for Beasley’s Big Band, Chuck Beasley, a veteran of the big band scene in the Twin Cities, loved Courtney’s voice and added her to join the band.

As the vocalist for Beasley’s Big Band and Court’s In Session, Courtney has been part of the Twin Cities’ Jazz scene for over 20 years.

As a founder, Creative Director and Vocalist for RR&M Music Productions, LLC, I’m committed to being a compassionate, insightful agent for change.

I’m passionate about serving as a champion for others. So, in addition to expanding the reach of American Jazz, I also coach others in nutritional habits, and focusing on empowering women to reconnect to their greatness through supportive, generative conversations and programs.

I’m grounded in three powerful life principles; empathy, listening in on the greatness in others, and sponsorship.
