Beasley's Big Band

Courtney’s Connections features businesses and organizations I support and the owners who are doing the work of their business and the business of their work!

Beasley's Big Band has been playing big band jazz with power and drive since 1991. Founded by saxophonist Charles Beasley in 1991, the band plays classic big band jazz in the style of the Count Basie Orchestra.

Playing the very same arrangements made famous by Glen Miller, Duke Ellington, Woody Herman, and Stan Kenton, the group also plays tunes arranged especially for the band by Charles Beasley. Beasley’s can be heard at Minneapolis Cider Company and Brianno’s Chart House monthly. The band also plays for corporate parties, swing dances, charity balls, wedding dances, and summer concerts in Twin Cities’ parks.

Courtney Burton is the lead vocalist with Beasley’s Big Band. For more than 18-years she has learned from the masters. Courtney is among those keeping the legend of jazz alive.
